Forest Bathing
(Shinrin-yoku)
Step into the forest. Step back into yourself. Slow down and sink into nature’s rhythm.
Forest Bathing is a gentle, mindful walk in nature designed to help you slow down, reconnect with your senses, and restore inner calm.
Rooted in the Japanese practice of Shinrin-yoku, it’s not about hiking or exercise—it’s about being, not doing. Through guided invitations, quiet reflection, and connection with the natural world, Forest Bathing supports stress relief, nervous system regulation, and a deep sense of peace.
What happens on a Forest Bathing walk?
During Forest Bathing sessions, we move slowly and mindfully through a natural woodland setting, pausing often to reconnect with the senses, the body, and the present moment.
There is no hiking, fitness challenge, or destination—this is an unhurried, guided session designed to help you feel grounded, calm, and deeply connected to nature and yourself.
I’ll gently guide you through a series of sensory invitations—simple, nature-based mindfulness practices that help quiet the mind and awaken your intuition. You may sit, stand, walk, or lie down depending on what feels right in the moment.
We’ll spend time in stillness, observation, and reflection, with opportunities to share your experience (if you wish) in a safe, supportive space.
This is a time for slowing down, releasing pressure, and remembering your place in the natural world. Forest Bathing sessions often end with a closing circle and optional tea ceremony to help you integrate the calm and carry it with you.
